Snowmen, gingerbread men, Santa and a little Christmas tree all come out of this four-part kit. Each figure has its own clay and the hats and trim to dress it. The clay is soft and smooth, closer to a puffy marshmallow than to stiff modeling dough. Kids ages 3 to 12 can press and roll it easily.
Once your child stops shaping, a figure hardens overnight and stays that way. Clay that is not used yet goes back into its air-resistant container, or it will dry out on the table. Give the finished figures a night on a shelf before they go into the hands of brothers and sisters.
